TickMU has two currencies: Credits and Tick Coins (TC). You need them for VIP, the Boutique and player trading. This guide covers every way to earn them and how to turn one into the other.

The Short Version

Exchange Rate

1 TC = 2 Credits, both ways. You can swap in game with chat commands, no need to log out. Credits to TC uses /EXCTC1 to /EXCTC5, and TC to Credits uses /EXTCC1 to /EXTCC5. The full list of amounts is in the Custom Coin Exchange guide.

Because of that rate, 150 TC is worth 300 Credits. A Blood Castle, Devil Square or Chaos Castle reward is therefore worth 600 Credits in total.

1. Voting: 500 TC Per Vote

Voting is the biggest source of Tick Coins on the server, and it costs you nothing. Every vote pays 500 TC.

• There are 9 vote lists on the Vote page of the website.
• Most lists let you vote again after 12 hours, so you can vote twice a day.
• One full round of 9 votes is 4,500 TC, which is 9,000 Credits at the exchange rate.
• A Diamond VIP plan (20,000 TC) is a bit over two days of voting.

Vote on the website while logged in to your account. After you vote on a list, come back to the Vote page and press Vote Now to claim it. If it says it cannot validate your vote on the first try, press Vote Now again.

2. Grand Reset: 1,500 Credits Every Time

Every Grand Reset gives you 1,500 Credits. It does not depend on anyone else or on a boss spawning.

• VIP players can type /gr in game. You need 100 resets and level 380 (Gold VIP) or 370 (Diamond VIP).
• Free accounts do their Grand Reset on the website.
• Only 100 of your resets are used, so any extra resets stay. Your stats are kept and your character goes back to level 1.
• After /gr you are logged out. Log in again to continue.

For scale: 7 Grand Resets (10,500 Credits) pay for a Gold VIP plan (10,000 Credits).

3. World Boss Invasions: 1,500 Credits Per Kill

The player who lands the killing blow on an invasion boss receives 1,500 Credits and 1 Stardust, delivered straight to the inventory. Nothing is shared with the party, so the last hit is what counts.

• The Skeleton King, Red Dragon, Golden Dragon and White Wizard spawn every 4 hours.
• Gorgon, Balrog, Hydra, Zaikan, Death Beam Knight, Hell Maine and Erohim spawn every 6 hours, one boss at a time.
• A global message announces every spawn. Open the Events Panel for the countdown, or press TAB for the Full Map with the exact coordinates.

4. Blood Castle, Devil Square and Chaos Castle

All three events pay 300 Credits and 150 Tick Coins at every level, on top of their experience and Zen rewards. They run all day, so they are a steady source of both currencies.

The three events never overlap, so you can run all of them in the same 2-hour cycle if you have the entry items ready. Check each guide for the level ranges, timers and the full rewards.

5. Online Time Bonus

Staying online pays you Credits every hour, and VIP raises the amount:

The bonus is not paid while your character is running on /offattack, so it only counts while you are actually logged in. See the Official VIP System guide for the full VIP comparison.

6. Invite Your Friends: 2,000 TC Each

Every time a friend registers using your invite, you receive 2,000 Tick Coins automatically as soon as their registration is confirmed. Invites from the same connection as an existing account do not count, so the friend needs to sign up from their own place.

7. Sell Your Items

Anything you do not need can be sold to other players for Credits or Tick Coins. Daily Jewel Drop pickups, event item bags and boss drops all end up here. Set your items and prices in a personal store, then switch it to the currency you want:

• /store credits sells for Credits.
• /store tc sells for Tick Coins.

Diamond VIPs can use /offstore so the store keeps selling while they are away. Commands are case-sensitive, so type them exactly as shown. More in the Custom Store guide.

Where Your Currency Goes

The biggest sink is VIP. Gold VIP costs 10,000 Credits for 7 days and Diamond VIP costs 20,000 Tick Coins for 14 days. Press [U] in game to open the Shop. VIP days do not stack and purchases are never refunded, so read the Official VIP System guide before you buy.

Tips

• Vote twice a day. It is the fastest way to Tick Coins and needs no gear, no level and no event.
• Grand Resets are guaranteed, boss kills are not. Make resetting your base income and treat bosses as a bonus.
• Be at the boss location before the spawn. Only the killing blow pays, and the whole server is racing for it.
• Swap with the exchange commands when you are saving for a specific VIP plan. Gold needs Credits and Diamond needs Tick Coins.
• Do not buy a VIP plan while one is still running. The timer resets to the plan maximum and the extra days are lost.
• Keep your entry items for Blood Castle, Devil Square and Chaos Castle stocked. A missed event is 600 Credits of value gone.
